Relief Services plays a supportive role with Child Care and Family Services; one of our main priorities is to offer assistance to 1 to 1 supervision of children.
As of April 1st, 2023, Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug Dibenjikewin Onaakonikewin (KIDO)’s Maamao Dibenjikewin Kanawaabajikewin (MDK Service model) is in operation. This means that KI is exercising jurisdiction over their own child and family services, as part of their inherent right to self-governance.
