Since 2021, Tikinagan has chosen to honor and observe the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation Day as a General Holiday with pay each year.
This year the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation falls on Saturday, September 30, 2023.
As per Policy 3.3 Holidays and Holiday Pay:
“National Truth and Reconciliation Day, will be observed on the calendar day on which they fall, except when it falls on the weekend, in which case if it falls on Saturday, the holiday will be on Friday”
For 2023, Tikinagan will observe the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation General Holiday on Friday, September 29, 2023.
All Agency offices will be closed on this date.
After Hours/On-Call services will provide coverage and remain available for response and provision of services to our clients and families during office closures on September 29, 2023.
