Tikinagan mourns loss of Elder, Emily Gregg

Tikinagan is mourning the loss of former Board Member and Elder Emily Gregg of Kasabonika Lake First Nation.

Shibogama First Nations Council appointed Emily as representative on Tikinagan’s Board in March 2005. Two years later, the Tikinagan Board of Directors appointed Emily to the Elders Council.

Emily served Tikinagan right up to her final days, appearing via a video message at this year’s Annual Chiefs Assembly held last month. She spoke passionately about Tikinagan, and encouraged the continued support of our families.
