Mental Health Month Resources

May is Mental Health Month and Tikinagan is here to support mental wellness in all our children and families.

It is important for mental health resources to be accessible, especially for our youth, so Tikinagan has developed resources for understanding mental health and improving wellbeing.

My Calming Book was designed to help youth deal with anxiety and worries. The book can be used alongside an adult they feel comfortable with such as a Tikinagan worker, foster parent, caregiver, a teacher, or a counsellor. Youth will find many ideas about how to deal with anxiety in colouring pages and activities that illustrate strategies, as well as other pages for journaling. To view My Calming Book, click here.

This book is also paired with a set of calming cards that provide short and easy strategies for relieving worries and anxiety. The cards can be practiced daily to improve mental wellbeing and reduce anxiety. Check out Cards for Coping with Anxiety here.
