The Ready, Set, Go Program is launching April 1, 2023, which connects children in care with additional services and supports they need to prepare for and succeed after leaving care. The Ready, Set, Go will provide youth transitioning out of care with life skills and supports they need to pursue post secondary education, skills trade training and employment opportunities.
The Ready, Set, Go Program will also allow youth to remain in care until the age of 23, up from age 21.
At this time, any youth in care who is close to or have reached their 21st birthday, will remain in care until a transition plan is in place and will not be discharged from care.
The Ready, Set, Go Program will be further developed as part of Neegaan Inabin program service and details to follow. If you have any questions, please speak with your Service Manager.
