Tikinagan Child and Family Services is excited to announce we are partnering with The Children’s Aid Foundation of Canada, and their Ted & Loretta Comfort Care Program to provide “Comfort Kits” to children and youth going through challenging times. These kits will provide items and materials to support the child/youth’s well-being.
The backpacks include a teddy bear, toothbrush, notebook, art supplies, gift cards, etc. These kits are located at the Prevention Department (68 Princess St.); there are 107 kits and they have been separated by the following age groups (each age group is in a clearly marked office):
3-5 years old
6-12 years old
12-18 years old
When utilizing this service, please fill in the required tracking forms that are located at the Prevention Department. Please ensure this is completed every time you need to utilize a comfort kit.
