RE: POSITIVE COVID-19 TEST RESULT

We would like to advise that 3 of our Sioux Lookout Office Buildings were temporarily closed on Nov. 26th and 29th to any access as a result of a Tikinagan employee testing positive for the COVID-19 virus.

We have contacted all employees that are considered close contacts.  We are encouraging any employees to seek medical testing if they are not feeling well, or if they have concerns.  If you would like to receive a Rapid Test, please contact Arlene McClendon at arlenem@tikinagan.org.  Please also report all test results to testresults@tikinagan.org.  All results remain confidential, and no names will be released.

The Northwestern Health Unit will follow up with full contact tracing for anyone considered a close contact with the individual who tested positive. The Health Unit recommends that everyone practice preventative measures such as physical distancing, wearing a mask when in public spaces, good hand hygiene, and not touching your face.

The Health Unit and Tikinagan urge employees not to post information on social media concerning this matter to prevent the spread of rumours and inaccurate

information and to protect the identity of the individual. Please refrain from discussing this with anyone other than your supervisor.

All Sioux Lookout offices have been fogged and sanitized and we will follow all recommended safety precautions.

The Sioux Lookout offices will reopen on Tuesday, November 30/21 however, as of Tuesday, Nov. 30th, in ALL Tikinagan offices, only those who have received approval/direction from their Manager or Director are to work in-office.  All others are to work from home.

Please consult your supervisor/manager, if you have concerns about the office closure relating to the performance of your duties or if there are items/equipment you need from the office.

Thank you for your continued co-operation.
