Re: Media Inquiries from Reporters – Reminders for All Staff
Recently, several staff at Tikinagan have been approached by reporters, who are currently working on an investigation related to child and youth in care. For the safety and privacy of our children, youth and families, we would like to send the following reminders to all staff:
If you are contacted by the media, do not respond to any requests. Even “no comment” is a comment.
Forward all messages, e-mails, and other media requests to communications@tikinagan.org. This includes social media and other online platforms, such as LinkedIn.
Only authorized and appointed staff may speak to the media on behalf of Tikinagan.
If a reporter calls you or stops you in-person, kindly let them know you will direct their requests to our communications team. You can ask for their name and contact information.
