Niigaanshkaawin Information Session ONLINE
Tuesday, August 18, 2026 | 1pm CST, 2pm EST – ONLINE

Our Niigaanshkaawin team will be holding an online session for members from Tikinagan’s 29 First Nations to attend, including Chief & Council, First Nation (Band) Representatives, technicians, Elders, Youth, community members, and Tikinagan staff.
With the implementation of the OFA, Tikinagan Child and Family Services is upholding our traditional ways of protecting and caring for children and supporting families through Mamow Obiki-ahwahsoowin, Tikinagan’s service model. One integral part of Mamow Obiki-ahwahsoowin is meaningful consultation and collaboration among Tikinagan, First Nations, and First Nation Representative Services (FNRS).
During this session, Niigaanshkaawin will explore key collaboration efforts related to the OFA, including:
-
Information Sharing and Notifications to First Nations
-
Working with First Nation and Band Rep Services(FNRS)
-
Joint Working Protocol
