MEMO: New Website & Staff Portal

Re: NEW TIKINAGAN WEBSITE/PORTAL & STREAMLINED INTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS

Over the last few years, we’ve expanded the use, design and function of our website and Staff Portal. This week, we are excited to announce the soft launch of our new Tikinagan website and Staff Portal. Detailed instructions to review both platforms are included in this memo.

The new website is not public yet, but we are inviting staff and departments to take the time to review it and provide feedback by August 24, 2021. Staff are asked to NOT share the new link with anyone outside the organization. In the meantime, the current website and portal will still be accessible and functional. We are planning to have the new website and Staff Portal “go live” by September 1, 2021.

Coinciding with the launch of our new website, we are making a move to streamline internal communication, utilizing the Portal as a central hub for all internal Tikinagan opportunities and communication such as Memos, Internal Staff Directory, Training and Career Openings starting September 1, 2021. This is also intended to decrease the number of e-mails in your inbox by making the Portal your one-stop-shop for everything Tikinagan.

We encourage staff to login to the staff Portal at least once a week to stay engaged with internal news, opportunities, and events and current on all memos. 

In the coming week(s), you will receive an e-mail to access the new Staff Portal with your own login and password. For now, please use the demo login:

Here are some of the features available on the new Tikinagan Staff Portal:

  • Interactive training calendar – search by month or list view
  • Job Postings
  • Weekly polls
  • Help Desk ticket – contact various Tikinagan departments (working function disabled for soft launch; messages will not be received)
  • Re-Organized Files page
  • Common Downloads & Resource page
  • Internal staff and office directory (now searchable!), as well as Where Does This Go?
  • Plus much more!

If you experience any technical difficulties with the new website or Portal, notice any grammar or spelling errors, or have any content suggestions, please e-mail communications@tikinagan.org. All feedback is welcome and received. You can also complete the survey on the Staff Portal dashboard (Portal homepage).

Ps. Don’t forget the Communications Department is hosting an internal contest for staff to name our Chatbot on the new website. Submit your chatbot name by Friday, August 20.
