Hear Us Youth carry Tikinagan flag, represent at ANCFSAO conference

Darren Kwandibens, Noodawishinaam Oshkiniigiwag (Hear Us Youth) member, carried in Tikinagan’s flag for Association of Native Child and Family Services Agencies of Ontario Seeds of Tomorrow Conferenceopening ceremonies this morning (Dec 9).

Nine members of Noodawishinaam Oshkiniigiwag traveled to Toronto for the three-day conference (special thanks to ANCFSAO for fully funding this opportunity!). Yesterday, they participated in an Provincial Anti-Human Trafficking Awareness and Education initiative geared towards increasing the knowledge of human trafficking and gender-based violence amongst children, youth and caregivers who come in contact with child welfare and equipping them with the necessary skills and tools to prevent and mitigate those from occurring.
